Having spent only a small amount of time in Cuba and having seen some of the state of the place and its various peoples, I likely have a skewed sense of the temperature. But I think it is ripe for change - at least the 20 - 40 year olds. I imagine the level of corruption and graft in the armed and police forces goes deeper than in those of \responsible governments\. Certainly those jobs would be worth protecting - the payoff for playing the gvt. game would be great and the loss for not playing along even greater.
